Twitter Explore is a section of the Twitter's app and website where users are served curated content based on their interests and platform activity, as well as major headlines. The intent behind Twitter Explore is to both catch the user up on recent news and serve as a browser for recommendations.

Twitter Explore categories

For ease of content discovery, the Explore tab is split into 3 major segments:

• Trends for you — content that Twitter's algorithm believes you will enjoy;
• Trending — major topics and news headlines in your region. This segment can encompass large topics like sports, music, politics, and so on. Note that you can change your account's region in settings to receive news about other corners of the world;
• Who to follow — recommendations on who you might be interested in following based on your account's activitiy.
