It is vital to develop an excellent strategy to excel in your social media marketing campaign. Some businesses are not convinced by social media marketing. Many brands that do it are not dedicated to it. As a result, there are many failures in SMM. We have decided to write these tips to guide you through your SMM campaign. Here are some of the tips:

1. Focus on the platform with the highest return on investment

Consider social media as a business platform. Use the simple principle of return on investment to understand what you are doing wrong. If the social platform gives you zero return on investment index, then maybe you are just wasting your time on nothing.

You should focus on the platforms that pay for your investment. Ideally, you should follow the numbers and be sure that you cover all the angles of the equation.

For example, you must determine the channels that generate the highest net profit for the company. Specify the different methods depending on your analytics. Below, we will outline the main tasks that should be kept in mind:

2. Use social media tools

This may not seem so important to mention because most people are already using them. But if you are not using these tools, it’s time to consider changing your approach. It’s hard to imagine how much time you would save using these tools: probably several hours a week. You can choose from a variety of popular SMM services such as Buffer, Socialoomph, and Hootsuite.

3. Use old publications

If you have high attendance or user involvement on your old social media posts, reuse them. Perhaps you are thinking it’s going to annoy your followers. In fact, it won’t generate any negative impact as long as you don’t abuse it. The lifespan of a tweet doesn't last long, even if others retweet you, and if you post the same tweet 2 times a week, it is not likely to annoy anyone.

You can use tools like Buffer and MeetEdgar to modify and republish old posts. You can use these tools to structure your content using filters, configure the submission queue, and start “re-using” posts on social media.

4. Create a system for monitoring and scheduling your activity

You can save lots of time by automating repetitive and routine social media tasks. As long as your work system is well established and expandable, you can be more productive.

Collecting the content you are about to publish is a great example. If you do not have a tool that does content aggregation, the task will take many extra hours. For example, you can use the Chrome extension by Buffer. It lets you save and schedule any content you select in social media with a simple double-click.

You can create full-on systems for every aspect of your SMM activity. For example:

Using a "receipe" like this may require a little extra time, but it will save you tons of time in the future.

5. Use cross-posting

Do you use platforms for cross-posting? Instead of entering each account separately and publishing the same content, you can do it with one click in one service. Here is an example of how this can be done using the Buffer plugin. Find the article you like and click on the Buffer icon in the browser. Make sure all accounts are selected and click "Add to queue". The content will be published on different accounts on different platforms. Then you can adjust the time and frequency of posting.

6. Group tasks in social media

If you are a small business owner or a marketer, you probably have a lot of tasks to do. One of the reasons you are so busy is that you keep switching between tasks all day long. This is a sure way to get exhausted. The solution is grouping and executing similar tasks at the same time. And outsourcing.

7. Work on outsourcing

First, you need to understand the task you want to outsource and select a platform or person to carry out such a task. You can’t afford to spend too much time trying to understand the intricacies of setting up an advertising campaign on Facebook. You can simply outsource this part of your work. The transfer of work can be laborious at first, but then it will save you a lot of time.

Sometimes, it may seem that social media takes too much of your time. It could be because you do not use the right methods of management. If you want to save yourself a few hours on social media every week, just use one of the methods above, and you will not believe the changes in your SMM routine.
